Tekisasu Toolchain 8.2 (REL) released

Toolchain 8.2 For Production has been released for internal usage. It contains the following software stack:

  • Tekisasu Engine 4.3.0p1 (09/11/24)
  • Tekisasu Graphics 1.3.8.1p1 (09/11/24)

Notable features include a rebase to the upstream Godot Engine 4.3 release in Tekisasu Engine 4.3.0p1. Our build now ships with the required libraries to enable DirectX support on Windows platforms for both the editor and releases. The newest Tekisasu Graphics 1.3.8.1p1 release rebases to upstream Aseprite 1.3.8.1.

Current plans are to stay on the Tekisasu Engine 4.3.x release branch indefinitely for the remainder of the Poncho Poncho Land development lifecycle. While there will be future updates, they will only pull from the upstream project’s 4.3.x release, as well as any custom patches and cherry picked PRs not yet merged in Godot.

There are no known migration issues for projects migrating from Tekisasu Engine 4.2.x to 4.3.0p1.


Tekisasu Engine is our inhouse build of Godot Engine. Tekisasu Graphics is our inhouse build of Aseprite. Note that we do not publicly redistribute our modified versions of these applications. If you want to use and contribute to Godot, upstream is more than willing to consider anyone’s patches and it’s available for free.
